Position Summary:

The Program Officer, Punjab will be a full-time position based in the Lahore office. An international Non-Government working will work closely with the government of Pakistan across all levels to enable a greater ability to lead, design, manage, and monitor a system of high-quality, integrated health services. The program will also build the capacity of civil society and the private sector to work with government to support these efforts and fill gaps.

The position holder will be responsible for maintaining a system of data entry, data cleaning, data management, data analysis and presentation to the DG Health Office. This will be done in close liaison with all the districts and other stakeholders reporting on notifiable diseases. The position will report to Director Program, Punjab.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Liaise with the districts health authorities for acquiring the data on notifiable diseases.

·      Ensure the smooth and timely data flow from districts to Provincial Disease Surveillance & Response Unit (PDSRU)

·      Enter, clean, manage and analyze the data as per the requirements of DG office

·      Ensure the quality of data sets and focus on performing analysis for diseases monitoring and surveillance.

·      Assist in preparation of presentations and reports for PDSRU.

Skills and Qualifications:

·      Graduation in Statistics/Biostatistics or related field

·      Minimum 03 years of work experience in Public health field with government, donor funded project or an NGO (preferably USAID).

·      Excellent working skills in MS office and statistical databases (Excel, SPSS, Epi Info etc.)

·      Substantial experience in managing large amount of health data.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
