| Job Description: |
| As a Front End Developer, your main responsibility is for the production, modification and maintenance of websites and web applications user interfaces. This involves working closely with designers, in using mark-up language i.e. HTML/CSS, to turn their static Photoshop designs into working browser based web pages. Youll also work closely with server-side developers to implement their server-side code in order to develop complex, interactive and database driven websites. Most of the time youll be working with Wordpress CMS, so youll work closely with the designers to integrate designs seamlessly into the chosen technology. As a Front End Developer youll also be responsible for
- Convert designs from PSD to HTML CSS with a focus on responsive web
- Minimize bandwidth requirements and maximize page load speed
- Find solutions to client problems in a range of CMS platforms (Wordpress, Magento etc)
- Customize bootstrap, foundation or other frameworks for a back-end web application
- Architect and implement robust client-side solutions involving custom AngularJS, JSON, AJAX
- Stay on top of industry trends and techniques and share them with your colleagues
Skills and experience necessary for this role
- Excellent HTML, XHTML, CSS programming skills including cross-browser compatibility
- Expert in responsive design and CSS frameworks, especially Bootstrap 3
- Experience with JQuery and JavaScript programming
- Good understanding of user-experience(UX/UI) best practices
- Experience integrating with server-side code (PHP) to produce dynamic pages
- Good understanding of Web Accessibility and Usability
Required work experience Its not really about the number of years of experience; this is old fashioned requirement now. Its more about what your technical capability and demonstrable experience , the types of project size youve worked on, your knowledge of UX and IA, your ability to turn around a project, and also your strengths in advance Javascript UI Development.
