Job Description
- Operational/Core Responsibility:
- Budget analysis and bud drivers’ verification every year for Technical Budget.
- Liaison with end-users to verify their budget assumptions and timely revision as per VIP.
- Processing requests from Technical for equipment & Services to be procured locally and Internationally.
- Preparation of Purchase Orders in the ORACLE financial system.
- Also preparing POs for Network Modernization based on working provided.
- Analysis of commercial terms and conditions of all the POs with mandatory clauses for Alliance & documentation preservation & sign-off and countering any deviations from the company’s standard terms and conditions.
- Negotiating with the suppliers on the basis of applicable Discounts, Incoterms & Payment Terms for Purchases governed by the Frame Agreement and out of FA.
- Preparing and Floating All Engineering RFQs
- Preparing TCO analysis for the purpose of comparing prices, specifications, delivery, quality etc. in order to determine the best proposal among potential suppliers.
- Liaise with the VIP to get approval for floating RFQs, while submitting Tender Mandate sheet and complete Tender Documents with TCO.
- Recommending best price Vendor/Supplier to Technical End-User for processing.
- Negotiation of Foreign L2 Support Cases and contract finalization.
- Managing Technical Procurement activities related to BSD
- and Local Level 2 Support Renewals
- Preparing Monthly Tender Report for onward submission to Vimpelcom
- (involves Liaising with complete SCM dept. for collecting data)
- Preparing Weekly OTH Pending cases report for speedy approval of urgent cases.
- (involves arranging conference calls with VIP Procurement for clarifications)
- Reporting Monthly OPEX and CAPEX saving achieved for VIP Report
Essential Skills
- Be proficient in MS Office
- Have worked on Purchasing Module of an ERP System, Preferably Oracle Financials
- Have good negotiation skills
- Have strong inter personal skills
- Have good problem solving skills
- Have sound analytical, verbal and written Communication (English)
Must have
- 5 to 6 year experience preferably in Procurement
- Must have an Engineering degree (preferably Telecom related)
