1. Execute coding of web-related projects.

2. Develop new sites using WordPress and PHP.

3. Should be able to work independently and implement the WordPress platform strategy for the business.

4. Stay current on trends in the industry and technologies.

5. Create bespoke plugins and developing modules for WordPress.

6. Maintain existing sites with enhancements.

7. Assist Sales Team in technical questions, protocols and process.

8. Ensure that we meet commercial 'go-live' deadlines.

9. Mentor to junior developers when required.

10. Other ad-hoc duties as required.

1. Good knowledge of programming in Core PHP is required.

2. Good knowledge of Database design and writing SQL queries.

3. Hands-on coding experience with HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, AJAX, XML, JavaScript, jQuery and other open-source JavaScript and PHP Frameworks.

4. Strong working knowledge of WordPress platform, developing static HTML websites to WordPress CMS including plugins, customizations, blog etc.

5. Strong working knowledge of developing and maintaining WordPress websites.

6. Willingness to learn latest and updated platforms to meet companys goals and objectives.

7. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

9. Knowledge of integrating payment gateways and shopping cart

10. Knowledge of some or all of the following will be an added advantage: GD Library, cURL, Smarty, Mambo, PayPal, Google Checkout, API, Web Services, URL Rewriting, Cron Jobs, Triggers, Stored Procedures, XHTML, SEO, Blogs, RSS Feeds, Podcasts.

11. Experience of working with other programming languages such as Java/JSP, ASP.NET or ASP Classic will be a definite plus.
