Examining requirements documents and creating technical designs, unit tests, system tests and implementation plans for projects.
Working with Business Analysts to design and develop capabilities that meet client business requirements.
Developing custom applications/components where appropriate to support enterprise projects or leveraging use of Out Of The Box (OOTB) SharePoint features and functionality.
Developing connectors to consume and interface external line of business application data for mission critical applications.
Agile participation in meetings with colleagues to discuss project progress, including any impediments to timely completion.
Maintaining current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices and procedures for SharePoint solutions.
Support the business requirements for the provision of internal applications management services.
Implement application development requirements, with a constant focus on coordinating business efficiencies through the activities of applications development.
Liaise with IT infrastructure services, in support of applications maintenance and development activities.
Co-ordinate and assist each line of business with opportunities for shared applications and common business efficiencies.
Define, plan and manage releases of application updates.
Support improvement initiatives involving business applications.
Support the strategy for strategic, tactical and maintenance activities.
Take responsibility for: time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; quality assurance and change management.
Act as technical expert for identified internal applications, and share knowledge as appropriate.
Support other application team members and off-the-clock resources as appropriate to the implementation of application related activities.
Carry out other tasks as agreed with the Applications Manager.
